Carbamazepine Sustained-Release Tablets may rarely cause severe blood problems (eg, aplastic anemia, agranulocytosis). Lab tests, including complete blood cell counts, will be performed before and during treatment with Carbamazepine Sustained-Release Tablets. These tests will be used to check for side effects.

Carbamazepine Sustained-Release Tablets may rarely cause serious and sometimes fatal skin reactions. Contact your doctor at once if you develop red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever. The risk of this reaction may be greater in Asian patients. Asian patients may need to have a blood test before they start Carbamazepine Sustained-Release Tablets to determine whether they have a greater risk of developing a severe skin reaction.

Carbamazepine Sustained-Release Tablets are used for:

Treating certain types of seizures. It is also used to treat severe pain of the jaw or cheek caused by a facial nerve problem (trigeminal neuralgia). It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Carbamazepine Sustained-Release Tablets are an anticonvulsant. It works to control seizures by blocking certain nerve impulses in the brain. It works to treat trigeminal neuralgia by altering nerve impulses in certain facial nerves, which relieves pain.

CNL8 (ciclopirox topical solution, 8%) nail lacquer.

CNL8 (ciclopirox topical solution, 8%) nail lacquer contains a synthetic antifungal agent, ciclopirox. It is intended for topical use on fingernails and toenails and immediately adjacent skin.

Each gram of CNL8 (ciclopirox topical solution, 8%) nail lacquer contains 80 mg ciclopirox in a solution base consisting of ethyl acetate, NF; isopropyl alcohol, USP; and butyl monoester of poly[methylvinyl ether/maleic acid] in isopropyl alcohol. Ethyl acetate and isopropyl alcohol are solvents that vaporize after application.

CNL8 (ciclopirox topical solution, 8%) nail lacquer is a clear, colorless to slightly yellowish solution.

Clobetasol Propionate Shampoo, 0.05%, contains clobetasol propionate, a synthetic fluorinated corticosteroid, for topical dermatologic use. The corticosteroids constitute a class of primarily synthetic steroids used topically as anti-inflammatory and antipruritic agents.

CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY:

Like other topical corticosteroids, Clobetasol Propionate Shampoo, 0.05%, has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties. The mechanism of the anti-inflammatory activity of the topical steroids, in general, is unclear. However, corticosteroids are thought to act by the induction of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins, collectively called lipocortins. It is postulated that these proteins control the biosynthesis of potent mediators of inflammation such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes by inhibiting the release of their common precursor, arachidonic acid. Arachidonic acid is released from membrane phospholipids by phospholipase A2.

What is cetrorelix?

Cetrorelix blocks the effects of the naturally occurring gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). GnRH controls the release of another hormone, luteinizing hormone (LH), which induces ovulation (release of an egg from the ovary) during the menstrual cycle. During hormone treatment for ovarian stimulation, premature ovulation may lead to eggs that are not suitable for fertilization. Cetrorelix blocks this undesirable premature ovulation.

Cetrorelix is used to prevent premature ovulation during controlled ovarian stimulation.

What is the most important information I should know about cetrorelix?

Do not use cetrorelix if you are pregnant. Cetrorelix is in the FDA pregnancy category X. This means that cetrorelix is known to cause birth defects.

Talk to your doctor before using cetrorelix if you have kidney disease or any renal (kidney) problems. Cetrorelix should not be used in patients with severe renal impairment.

Clonidine is used alone or together with other medicines to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). High blood pressure adds to the workload of the heart and arteries. If it continues for a long time, the heart and arteries may not function properly. This can damage the blood vessels of the brain, heart, and kidneys, resulting in a stroke, heart failure, or kidney failure. High blood pressure may also increase the risk for heart attacks. These problems may be less likely to occur if the blood pressure is controlled.

Clonidine belongs to the class of medicines called antihypertensives. It works in the brain to change some of the nerve impulses. As a result, the blood vessels relax and blood passes through them more easily, which lowers blood pressure. When the blood pressure is lowered, the amount of blood and oxygen going to the heart is increased.

This medicine will not cure your high blood pressure, but it does help control it. Therefore, you must continue to use it as directed if you expect to lower your blood pressure and keep it down. You might have to take high blood pressure medicine for the rest of your life.

Irinotecan can induce both early and late forms of diarrhea that appear to be mediated by different mechanisms, and both forms of diarrhea may be severe. Early diarrhea may be accompanied by cholinergic symptoms that may be prevented or ameliorated by atropine. Late diarrhea (generally occurring more than 24 hours after administration of irinotecan) can be life threatening since it may be prolonged and may lead to dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, or sepsis. Late diarrhea should be treated promptly with loperamide and administration of irinotecan should be interrupted and subsequent doses reduced if severe diarrhea occurs. Severe myelosuppression may occur with irinotecan administration .

What is the most important information I should know about Capex (fluocinolone topical)?

Use this medication exactly as directed on the label, or as it has been prescribed by your doctor. Do not use the medication in larger amounts or for longer than recommended. Topical steroid medicine can be absorbed through the skin, which may cause steroid side effects throughout the body.

Do not cover treated skin areas with a bandage or other covering unless your doctor has told you to. Plastic film covering (such as plastic wrap) is sometimes used when treating psoriasis. Follow your doctor's instructions.

If you are treating the diaper area of a baby, do not use plastic pants or tight-fitting diapers. Covering the skin that is treated with fluocinolone topical can increase the amount of medicine your skin absorbs, which may lead to unwanted side effects.

Do not use this medication on a child without a doctor's advice. Children are more likely to absorb large amounts of a topical steroid through the skin. Steroid absorption in children may cause unwanted side effects, or a delay in growth with long-term use. What is Capozide 25/15 (hydrochlorothiazide and captopril)?

Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that helps prevent your body from absorbing too much salt, which can cause fluid retention.

Captopril is in a group of drugs called ACE inhibitors. ACE stands for angiotensin converting enzyme. Captopril lowers blood pressure and also relieves symptoms of fluid retention.

The combination of hydrochlorothiazide and captopril is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure).

What is the most important information I should know about Capozide 25/15 (hydrochlorothiazide and captopril)?

You should not use this medication if you are allergic to hydrochlorothiazide or captopril, or if you have a history of asthma or allergies, or you are unable to urinate.

You should not use this medication if you are allergic to any other ACE inhibitor, such as benazepril (Lotensin), fosinopril (Monopril), enalapril (Vasotec), lisinopril (Prinivil, Zestril), moexipril (Univasc), perindopril (Aceon), quinapril (Accupril), ramipril (Altace), or trandolapril (Mavik).

Before taking hydrochlorothiazide and captopril, tell your doctor if you have kidney disease (or are on dialysis), liver disease, glaucoma, congestive heart failure, gout, lupus, diabetes, or an allergy to sulfa drugs or penicillin.

Do not use hydrochlorothiazide and captopril if you are pregnant. It could harm the unborn baby.

Do not use potassium supplements or salt substitutes while you are taking hydrochlorothiazide and captopril, unless your doctor has told you to.
