Uses For Plaquenil
Hydroxychloroquine belongs to the family of medicines called antiprotozoals. Protozoa are tiny, one-celled animals. Some are parasites that can cause many different kinds of infections in the body.
This medicine is used to prevent and to treat malaria and to treat some conditions such as liver disease caused by protozoa. It is also used in the treatment of arthritis to help relieve inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and joint pain and to help control the symptoms of lupus erythematosus (lupus; SLE).
This medicine may be given alone or with one or more other medicines. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Hydroxychloroquine is available only with your doctor's prescription.
Once a medicine has been approved for marketing for a certain use, experience may show that it is also useful for other medical problems. Although these uses are not included in product labeling, hydroxychloroquine is used in certain patients with the following medical conditions:

Brand Name: PrandiMet
PrandiMet may rarely cause a serious and sometimes fatal condition called lactic acidosis. Most of these cases have occurred in diabetic patients who also have certain kidney problems. The risk of lactic acidosis may be greater if you have liver problems, kidney problems, or heart failure. The risk may also be greater in patients who are elderly or drink alcohol. Lab tests, including kidney function, may be performed while you take PrandiMet.
Do not begin to take PrandiMet if you are older than 80 years old unless lab tests show that you do not have decreased kidney function. Do not take it if you have a severe infection, have low blood oxygen levels, or are dehydrated. Tell your doctor you take PrandiMet before you have any surgery or lab procedures.
Contact your doctor right away if you notice symptoms such as muscle pain or tenderness; unusual drowsiness, dizziness, or lightheadedness; slow or irregular heartbeat; fast or difficult breathing; unusual stomach discomfort; or unusual weakness or tiredness. Contact your doctor right away if you start to feel unusually cold, or if you have a general feeling of being unwell.
PrandiMet is used for:
Treating type 2 diabetes. It is used along with diet and exercise. It may be used alone or with other antidiabetic medicines.
PrandiMet is a meglitinide and biguanide combination. It works by decreasing the amount of sugar absorbed from food by the intestines and reduces the amount of sugar made in the liver. It also increases the amount of insulin in the blood and helps your body to use insulin and sugar more efficiently. This helps to control blood sugar levels.

What is ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel (EC)?
Ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel are forms of estrogen and progesterone, which are both female hormones involved in conception.
Ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel are used together in this product as an emergency contraceptive (EC) to prevent pregnancy after contraceptive failure or unprotected intercourse. Ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel prevent ovulation (the release of an egg from an ovary), disrupt fertilization (joining of the egg and sperm), and inhibit implantation (attachment of a fertilized egg to the uterus).
Ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel (EC) may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.
What is the most important information I should know about ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel (EC)?
The first dose of ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel (EC) must be taken as soon as possible and within 72 hours of having unprotected sex, and the second dose 12 hours following the first, to be effective.
Ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel (EC) does not protect you from sexually transmitted diseases--including HIV and AIDS.

Accidental overdose of products that contain iron is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children younger than 6 years old. Keep this and all medicines out of the reach of children. In case of accidental ingestion, call the poison control center or doctor at once.
Prenate DHA is used for:
Treating or preventing a lack of vitamins or minerals before, during, and after pregnancy and while breast-feeding. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Prenate DHA is a vitamin, mineral, iron, folic acid, and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) combination. It works by providing vitamins and minerals to the body to help meet nutritional requirements.
Do NOT use Prenate DHA if:

Procaine penicillin G is a potent antibacterial agent which is effective against a variety of pathogenic organisms, chiefly in the Gram-positive category. Penicillin-G Procaine is a free-flowing product prepared by combining penicillin G and procaine, molecule for molecule, with dispersing agents.
Warning
Milk taken from animals during treatment and for 48 hours (4 milkings) after the latest treatment must not be used for food. A withdrawal period has not been established for this product in preruminating calves. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal.
Discontinue use of this drug for the following time periods before treatment animals are slaughtered for food: Cattle-10 days, Sheep-9 days, Swine-7 days. Not for use in horses intended for food.
Dosage Levels
The recommended daily dosage of penicillin is 3, 000 units per pound of body weight (one mL per 100lb body weight). Continue daily treatment until recovery is apparent and for at least 1 day after Symptoms disappear, usually in 2 or 3 days. Treatment should not exceed 4 consecutive days.
Directions for Use
Penicillin-G Procaine should be administered by the intramuscular route. A thoroughly cleaned, sterile needle and syringe should be used for each injection (needles and syringes may be sterilized by boiling in water for 15 minutes). Pediatric

Geriatric
Appropriate studies performed to date have not demonstrated geriatric-specific problems that would limit the usefulness of sipuleucel-T in the elderly.
Breast Feeding
There are no adequate studies in women for determining infant risk when using this medication during breastfeeding. Weigh the potential benefits against the potential risks before taking this medication while breastfeeding.

Pediatrics
Promethazine hydrochloride injection should not be used in pediatric patients less than 2 years of age because of the potential for fatal respiratory depression. Post-marketing cases of respiratory depression, including fatalities, have been reported with use of promethazine in pediatric patients less than 2 years of age. Caution should be exercised when administering promethazine hydrochloride injection to pediatric patients 2 years of age and older (see WARNINGS-Respiratory Depression).
SEVERE TISSUE INJURY, INCLUDING GANGRENE
Promethazine hydrochloride injection can cause severe chemical irritation and damage to tissue regardless of the route of administration. Irritation and damage can result from perivascular extravasation, unintentional intra-arterial injection, and intraneuronal or perineuronal infiltration. Adverse reactions include burning, pain, thrombophlebitis, tissue necrosis, and gangrene. In some cases, surgical intervention, including fasciotomy, skin graft and/or amputation have been required (see WARNINGS-Severe Tissue Injury, Including Gangrene).
Due to the risks of intravenous injection, the preferred route of administration of promethazine hydrochloride injection is deep intramuscular injection. Subcutaneous injection is contraindicated. See DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION for important notes on administration.

Do not suddenly stop taking Propranolol. Sharp chest pain, irregular heartbeat, and, sometimes, heart attack may occur if you suddenly stop Propranolol. The risk may be greater if you have certain types of heart disease. Your doctor should slowly lower your dose over several weeks if you need to stop taking Propranolol. This should be done even if you only take Propranolol for high blood pressure. Heart disease is common and you may not know you have it. Limit physical activity while you are lowering your dose. If new or worsened chest pain or other heart problems occur, contact your doctor right away. You may need to start taking Propranolol again.
Propranolol is used for:
Treating high blood pressure or atrial fibrillation. It is used in patients with angina to decrease angina frequency and increase exercise tolerance. It is used to decrease the risk of heart death in certain patients who have survived a heart attack. It is used to manage certain types of tremors, a heart condition called hypertrophic subaortic stenosis, or certain symptoms of pheochromocytoma (an adrenal tumor). It is used to prevent migraine headaches. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Propranolol is a beta-blocker. It works by slowing down the heart and decreasing the amount of blood it pumps out. This helps to decrease blood pressure, helps the heart pump more efficiently, and reduces the workload on the heart. Exactly how Propranolol works to treat migraines or tremors is not known.
Do NOT use Propranolol if:
- you are allergic to any ingredient in Propranolol

What is Pancreatin 4X (pancreatin)?
Pancreatin is a combination of digestive enzymes (proteins). These enzymes are normally produced by the pancreas and are important in the digestion of fats, proteins, and sugars.
Pancreatin is used to replace digestive enzymes when the pancreas does not produce enough on its own. Certain medical conditions can cause this lack of enzymes, including cystic fibrosis, chronic inflammation of the pancreas, pancreatic cancer, or pancreas surgery.

Do not change brands of pancreatin without first talking to your doctor or pharmacist. Some brands of pancreatin are interchangeable while others are not. Ask your pharmacist which brands or generic forms can be substituted for another.Pancreatin may be only part of a complete program of treatment that also includes a special diet. It is very important to follow the diet plan created for you by your doctor or nutrition counselor. You should become very familiar with the list of foods you should eat or avoid to help control your condition.

What is the most important information I should know about PEG-3350 with Electolytes (polyethylene glycol electrolyte solution)?
Do not use this medication if you are allergic to polyethylene glycol or any other electrolyte solutions (such as Pedialyte or Gatorade).You should also not take polyethylene glycol electrolyte solution if you have a perforated bowel, a bowel obstruction or severe constipation, or colitis or toxic megacolon. If you have any these conditions, you could have dangerous or life-threatening side effects from polyethylene glycol electrolyte solution.
People with eating disorders (such as anorexia or bulimia) should not take polyethylene glycol electrolyte solution without the advice of a doctor.Talk to your healthcare provider if you are not able to consume all of the solution. Incomplete cleansing of the bowel may affect the scheduled procedure.
